Video ads that stop the scroll and lower your cost per result

Creative is the single biggest lever in paid social, and video is what the algorithms reward most. The problem is that testing creative properly needs volume, and traditional video production cannot supply it. We produce video ad creative at the pace a real testing programme demands, with hooks, formats and angles varied deliberately rather than randomly, so you find the winners faster and spend less to get each result.

What is video ad creative?

Video ad creative is video made specifically to be an advertisement in a paid feed, which makes it a different craft from video made to be watched. Nobody chose to watch your ad. It appears between things the viewer actually wanted, on a phone, often muted, and it has roughly two seconds to earn the next ten. That constraint dictates everything: the hook has to land immediately rather than build, the message has to survive without sound, the product has to appear early rather than as a reveal, and the whole thing has to work in vertical as readily as in square. Video ad creative also has to exist in quantity, because paid platforms are testing engines and a test with three variants tells you almost nothing. The businesses that win on paid social are rarely the ones with the single most beautiful film. They are the ones putting enough distinct creative angles into the auction to find the two or three that genuinely resonate, then scaling those hard.

What good video ad creative changes about your paid performance

Targeting is now largely automated. Creative is the main variable you still control, and it moves results more than anything else in the account.

Lower cost per result

A winning creative can cut cost per acquisition dramatically. Finding it needs volume, which is exactly what we supply.

Hooks that earn attention

We build and test the first two seconds deliberately, because that is where most ad budget is actually lost.

Every placement covered

Feed, Reels, Stories, in-stream and more, in every ratio and length, produced from the same core asset.

Fatigue handled

Fresh variants ship before performance decays, so you are not scrambling when frequency climbs.

Structured testing

We vary one thing at a time, hook, angle, format or offer, so results tell you something usable.

Turnaround in days

New creative reaches the account in days, not the weeks a production company needs per concept.

How video ad creative production works

A structured creative programme, not one-off films. Each round is informed by what the last round proved.

1

Study the account

We look at what has already run, what performed and what fatigued, so we build on evidence rather than guesses.

2

Write the angles

We map distinct messaging angles and hooks worth testing, rather than producing ten versions of the same idea.

3

Produce the batch

We produce each concept in every ratio, length and placement your campaigns need, with captions built in.

4

Read results and reload

We track which hooks and angles win, retire what is fatiguing, and produce the next batch from what we learned.

What is included in AI video ad creative

Everything needed to run a real creative testing programme rather than a handful of one-off videos.

  • Distinct concept and messaging angle development
  • Hook variants tested against each other
  • Vertical, square and landscape versions of every asset
  • Length cutdowns for each placement and platform
  • Burned-in captions and sound-off-safe messaging
  • Static and carousel companions where they help
  • Creative performance reporting on what is winning
  • Ongoing refresh cycles before fatigue hits

The AI advantage a traditional agency cannot match

The reason most paid social accounts underperform is not targeting, it is that they are testing three creatives when they should be testing thirty. Everyone in performance marketing knows this. The reason they do not do it is arithmetic: at traditional production costs, thirty video concepts is a budget nobody has, so accounts run a small number of expensive assets until they fatigue and then panic. AI resets that arithmetic. Generating variants, cutting to every length and ratio, producing captions, swapping hooks, restyling and versioning are all tasks AI does quickly and cheaply, and they are the bulk of the work in a creative testing programme. What AI does not do is know which angles are worth testing in the first place, and that is where a person who has watched a lot of ad accounts is worth more than any amount of generation capacity. The failure mode of AI creative is volume without thought, thirty assets that are all the same idea in different colours, which teaches you nothing and burns budget. We use AI to make the volume affordable and put experienced media buyers on deciding what that volume should actually contain. That is the combination a traditional production company cannot offer, because they are not in the ad account, and a cheap generation tool cannot offer, because there is nobody reading the results.

Frequently asked questions about video ad creative

How many video ads do we need to test?
More than feels comfortable, and that is the honest answer even though it is not the reassuring one. Meta and TikTok are auction systems that need enough distinct signals to find the audience a creative resonates with, and three variants of the same idea do not provide that. As a rough shape, we would usually want several genuinely different concepts in flight at once, each with a few hook variants, rather than one concept polished endlessly. The important word is different: five ads that vary only in colour are effectively one ad. What we will not do is quote a magic number, because the right volume depends on your spend level. At low spend, too many variants split the budget so thinly that nothing exits the learning phase, which is its own failure.
Do you need us to film anything?
Often not, though it depends on what you sell. For many products and services we can produce strong ad creative from AI-generated footage, product imagery, screen recordings, motion graphics and stock, with no shoot involved. Where filming genuinely helps is when the product has to be demonstrated in someone hands, or when a real person on camera is central to the message, which is common in UGC-style creative. Even then, filming usually means a phone and a person rather than a crew. We will tell you which route fits your product before you spend anything, and we would rather say a shoot is worth it than produce something weaker to avoid the conversation.
How quickly does video ad creative fatigue?
Faster than most people plan for, and the fix is a schedule rather than a reaction. On a well-spending Meta account, a strong creative might hold up for a few weeks before frequency climbs and cost per result drifts upward, and on TikTok it is often quicker. The mistake is treating this as an emergency when it happens rather than an inevitability to plan around, because scrambling for new creative under pressure produces worse creative. We work on a refresh cadence, with the next batch in production before the current one degrades, and we watch frequency and cost per result to time it. Winning concepts also get fresh treatments rather than being retired outright, since the angle often still works even when the specific execution is worn out.
Can you work with our existing media buyer?
Yes, and it works well when the feedback loop is real. If you have an in-house or agency media buyer, we can be the creative engine that feeds them, working to their brief and their testing plan. What makes this succeed or fail is whether we get performance data back. Producing creative into a void, with no visibility of which hooks won and which died, means every batch is a guess and quality plateaus quickly. All we need is regular access to creative-level performance, either directly or via their reporting. If you would rather we ran the campaigns too, we do that, and the tighter loop usually shows up in results.
Is AI-generated footage risky for a brand?
It carries risks worth naming rather than glossing over. The first is quality: generated footage still struggles with hands, text, physical continuity and anything a viewer knows intimately, and an ad that looks subtly wrong damages trust more than a plainer ad would. We review every frame and reject what does not hold up. The second is claims: an ad must not show your product doing something it does not do, and generated footage makes it easy to cross that line accidentally, so we keep product depiction accurate and flag anything that drifts. The third is legal, since copyright in generated material is still unsettled in many jurisdictions. For ad creative, which is disposable by nature, this matters far less than for a core brand asset, but we will tell you when it matters.
What makes a hook actually work?
Specificity and immediate relevance, far more than production polish. The strongest hooks tend to name the exact problem the viewer has, show the product doing the interesting thing straight away, or open on something visually unexpected that is still connected to the message. Weak hooks build slowly, open on a logo, or lead with a general claim that could belong to any company in the category. The other thing that separates them is the sound-off test: most feed video is watched muted, so if your hook depends on someone speaking, it has already failed for the majority of impressions. We build for muted viewing by default and treat sound as an enhancement. All of that said, hooks are the thing we test rather than assume, because the reliable pattern is that the winner is regularly not the one anyone predicted.
